1)I want to know drivers which are shown in device manager-network adapters
2)If your OS is vista or 7 , go to startmenu and type UAC and press enter
Now change the UAC setting to never notify.Try to browse now.
3)go to run and TYPE
cmd /c ipconfig>C:\ipconfig.txt
cmd /c net start>C:\netstart.txt
Now go to C drive, open the IPCONFIG and netstart files and post the contents here
What is your OS and model?
when did this issue start?

Okay- I uninstalled the driver and went here to download the driver again.... although when i tried to download it, "internet explorer cannot display the webpage". Here is where i was: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-62508-1&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&os=2093&product=3747169&sw_lang=
Also, i've been using another laptop in the house, an Acer. Not sure if it has anything to do with it being a different brand computer while trying to access the above site.... probably not, but figured wouldnt hurt to mention.
The product number is Compaq Presario A940NR (which is also what i entered into the site above- not sure if it kept my entries or not)
Thanks!
