need to fix the External Hard disk Closed

Hello
how to fix my hard disk. Before the problem, Disk contains 140 GB data. But now this what i see! i tried to formate also.......cannot...

Thanks alot for trying to help me.
while formatting a popup shows "error  Device media is write protected"
I tried in both FAT32 n NTFS.

And also Disk management shows the same detail which i have given above.

Need to fix the External Hard disk
