My sony vaio formatted itself

Hello,
I have a huge problem. My laptop just formated itself. I just closed the lid and when it tried to open it again, it went in full system restore. bare with me. I know nothing about computers. I only have the c hard drive, this is the way a bought it. it kept installing things and now everything is gone. also, it said system is preparing for first use. please help!!

Can you browse to this path

C:/users

Let me know if you have any temp folders

This looks like a user profile issue

thank you for your answer.
I cannot find anything in the users folder or in the c:/temp folder
any other ideas? :D

go to control panel-power options

Click on ''choose what closing the lid does '' on left pane

then select '' do nothing '' when I close the lid
