No Speakers or headphones are plugged in.
Solved/Closed
Hello, I have a pavilion a4511f hp. This started about 3 days ago and i can't seem to fix it. I've gone to hp.com and reinstalled realtek for my model. I don't understand the problem and i need help. Under my dxdiag it says no sound card is detected and ya i just get no sound. I also installed a new processor the other day idk if that is the issue but it shouldnt. Please help if you can xD.

I have a Pavilion and had the same problem. Sound just stopped working, no speakers, no earphones. The only way I was able to fix the problem was to buy and install a new sound card. The original sound card is "buried" so don't try to remove it. Just install the new board in an open slot. Now works fine.
This a continuing problem with Pavilions and HP has no answers.
Installing the new sound board is fast and simple.
