Go to power save mode upon starting?

Hello,

Oh what a pain. my Dell has a serious problem. Every time I power on, it go's to Power Save Mode and the screen go's black and monitor light changes to orange. That's it, that all I get. Please help. OMG.

Power save mode on the monitor indicates that the monitor is not getting a video signal. Does the Dell logo ever appear on the screen?

I don't see any other comment on this...but I hve the same problem...yes, I saw the Dell logo briefly...

what i did was
1. power off
2. open the computer case
3. remove vga card, clean the dust, rub the copper print with rubber, plug it back in properly
4. remove ram cards, and did the same
5. the problem was solved for my case
