toshiba nightmare - urgent help required Closed

Hello, 



Configuration: Windows 7 / Internet Explorer 9.0

my toshiba is displaying TOSHIBA in big red letters - underneath that saying in white Leading Innovation >>> and at the bottom left of the blue screen it says in smaller writing HDD Recovery ... but seems to be frozen on this as nothing is happening 

please help me..

Hello Birdy,

This is a major problem.  I don't know how hold is your laptop but it sure looks like a hard disk failure that only a qualified technician can look in to.  Sorry about that.

Assuming you can't do this from a Toshiba startup screen. (Double check) 

If that is hard disk faliure I would dismantle Toshiba.
Connect hard disk to a USB adapter (cheap on ebay). Attach to another PC as usb hard drive.
And run check disk = right click toshiba hard drive. properties. tools. check now.

Forgot to say -
Get a copy of ultimate boot cd : its free - only need a blank cd to burn too.
Alot of utilities there to fix pc. Will boot regardless of hard drive status.
