Hello,

I have 500 GB external drive, whenever I connect it to computer, it is not showing in my computer but it shows green indication to the right side of computer.

Please help

Hi,

Press on start+r at same time,type diskmgmt.msc then press on enter.Does the external device appear in disk management?If yes in which format?

what if the disk is not displayed???

The disk showing but it is showing as unallcoated.

there is red dash on disk indication square.

Hi ,

I fear you need to format it or create new partition.Have you tried it on another computer ?what is the result?you may also try changing the external hard disk enclosure and give your feedback.
