Hello,

Thanks for your forum.

I had a software problem lately and somebody from the internet helped me solve it by entering in my wifi/router getting my ip address and arranged things on my laptop as a remote user by programme called team viewer. All is working fine, however I am now wondering if she can enter my computer anytime she wants and whether she can get my saved passewords....(I don't know this person but she and her team from a chat room do help many others and seem to be very helpful!)

If you did give this person any password, you should change it ! Otherwise, I think there's no reason to panic ;-)

Thanks for your reply. I did not give her any passwords but she's asking for user name login and password of the wifi/router. I think it's a default password and everybody uses the same unless one changes it to makes it personalised. She seems to be very helpful and she solved many of my pc problems regarding software, which more or less I was understanding what was going on. However I don't know anything about port forwarding so i don't know how safe it is to open ports. I need it so that I can play games with others online.

Anyway, I would recommend you to change the default user/password of the router!

ok thanks for your help. So after she opens my port forwarding I will change both.
