SIMS 3 LAUNCHER STOPPED WORKING

I bought the sims 3 about a year ago. I played it for some time, but had to quit due to school. I've had some free time and, upon starting it, noticed that a new update was available. After updating it, I attempted to launch the game, but a dialogue window popped up, saying that there was a problem with the launcher and the game could not start. However, the intro videos began playing. The game started to load, but after a few seconds, it crashed. I cannot install any custom content or store items. I read some similar resolved questions and did everything that was claimed to work.

Ok soo I was installing some things from the sims 3 exchange and I didnt want to download the person anymore. so I wanted to exit the game laucher and it wouldnt let me
so I just clicked exit with the red circle over it and now it wont even let me try in open up the game laucher no more .....and I tried uninstallling it but it said I cant because the program is running when it's not....SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME I LOVE MY BABY SIMS 3 GAME.:(

Configuration: Windows Vista / Internet Explorer 7.0

Every time I try to start it, it says there was a error during start up, please see the log for more details, what's the log? My game was acting fine before, plus I've had it since last year, and have been playing it since.

I just purchased SIMS 3 for my daughter. The software installed fine, but when she tries to start the game, she gets this message on the screen: "Sims 3 launcher has stopped working".

I checked system requirements and meet them all: Dell Inspiron 5305 w/210GB free space, OS-Windows Vista Home Premium, Intel Core 2 Duo E4500 @ 2.20Ghz, Video Card Intel GMA3100 w/287MB (128mb sys video mem/159mb shard sys mem).

Please tell me what shall I do the start this game?

Hi,
I have been trying to get my sims 3 cheat to work.
I have checked to see if I am typing in wrong but not.
I have done it on pause, on edit town, on pause on edit town.
The cheat box comes up but then once I type in it just goes away like a normal cheat would.
But then it doesn't work.
Someone please Help!!!!
