Yes you can recover permanently deleted emails even after deleting them from your trash folder.

All you have to do is open you gmail then click the drop down arrow from your search box at the top of the screen. it will then ask you several question such as to: or from: subject, has words or date with in. Don't answer any of these question just click on the blue search button on the bottom left of the search box and all of your deleted emails will be revealed. Walla

Hi josephijoseph,

When an email is deleted in Gmail it is automatically sent to the trash. Items in your Trash will remain there for approximately 30 days before it is automatically emptied and permanently deleted.

If you'd like to permanently delete something yourself:

1. Click your Trash label.
2. Check the box next to the message you'd like to permanently delete.
3. Click the Delete forever button.

You can retrieve something from Trash by clicking Trash, selecting the message in question, and clicking Inbox in the 'Move to' drop-down menu. Items that are permanently deleted can't be retrieved.

Please revert for clarification.
Everyone, do not ever believe that emails are deleted forever on gmail.com

There were over 1100 emails that showed up surprizingly, in my current trash box. Over one thousand gmails found there way back into my gmail, after they had been deleted permanently for years.
Can u please let me know how u got .. because its something very important for me to retrieve those mails back as my account has been compromised few days back and my mails got deleted permanently... ;(

Hi Vikas,

If the deleted emails are less than 30 days old, Gmail trash will keep it otherwise it will cleaned by Gmail. However, if the emails are missing as a result of unauthorized access, you can request Gmail to investigate whether recovery is possible. You can check the below mentioned link for more details:
