Hello,
They are some folders like "System Volume Information",$recycle.bin where the
user don't have access to it.
For such folders "Access Denied" message will appear. So don't worry about it.
Enter that command, wait for a while until the process get completed and then
make sure that your files are removed from hidden mode.
OR
Try this 1
Click on Start --> In search box, type control folders and press Enter.
[If you are using Windows XP then type control folders in Run and press Enter]
"Folder Options" will be opened. Click on the "View" tab.
Now select the option "Show hidden files, folders or drives" and uncheck the
check box "Hide protected operating system files" --> Click on "OK" button.
Now look for your files in your external drive.
Later undo the changes you have made by once again going to "Folder Options"
--> Click on "View" tab and click on "Restore Defaults" button --> Click on "OK".
Good Luck

Hello,
Yes only the desktop.ini file appears in the -1-5-21-1313596285-1084954077-2483137305-1001. I just ran the AutorunExterminator and also ran a full scan using the malware but did not find any virus.

Hello,
Try this 1
Don't make any changes to that partition by adding any files\folders.
Click on the below link and download the application
http://download.piriform.com/rcsetup144.exe
Install it --> Open the application --> Click on "Next" --> Select the option "Other" --> Now select "In a specific location" --> Select your drive from the drop-down menu --> Click on Start.
Recover the files and save it to another location --> If you find the missing files in that recovered list then perform "Deep Scan".
Good Luck

Hello,
Try this 1
Copy the recycle folder to another location and check if you are able to view the files. While the copying process is going on check if you see your files with names.
Good Luck

You can try the second step given in the above link. Just follow the instructions given after OR.
Another alternate method to see your files is using an application FreeCommander
Click on the below link and download the file
https://freecommander.com/fc_setup_.zip
Install it --> Open the FreeCommander --> Select your Drive and it will show all the hidden files if exists.
Good Luck
