Hi eysberg,
It is really annoying to lose personal data. As you mentioned, you tried most of the steps mentioned on the web, there is one small tip mentioned on this site in the below link which might be helpful:
https://ccm.net/faq/26351-western-digital-hard-disk-not-being-detected
If not tried already, please give it a try and check if this helps.
Do reply with results.

Hi eysberg,
Please follow the below mentioned steps and assign a drive letter to the pen drive from Disk Management Console and check if the drive is detected in "My Computer":
1. Click "Start" and type "Disk Management" in search box. Select Create and format hard disk partitions from the left pane.
2. Select and Right click the WD Hard Drive and choose on Change drive letter and paths.
3. A new window will pop. Click "Change" to change the drive letter.
4. Choose any letter of your choice from the available options -> click Ok. You will get a confirmation or warning dialog box. Click "yes" to confirm.
Do reply with results.

Thank You for help Zohaib. I did this several times without any result. And, as i mentioned, it is unrecognised "logically" in any other system or device, including Ubuntu. It is recognised as a hardware storage device, but logically "not seen". I will try to check if it is not a power issue, because maybe USB doesn't transfer enough volts to the device?

Hi eysberg,
Changing the cable(s) is indeed a good idea. Please try that and post the results. Also, there is a software by the name "EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard" this can help you recover data in most of the damaged Hard Drive Scenarios (the damage should not be physical). You can try using this software. You can read about "EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard" and also download it from the below mentioned link:

Do reply with results.
Thanks & Regards
