My laptop will turn on, but not my monitor!

Hello, I have a relatively new laptop (November 2012) that is an HP pavilion laptop with Windows 8. Today, it was working just fine until it shut down because my knee accidentally moved the battery out of place. Just thinking that it would work by putting the battery back in, i placed it back in and put my charging cord in to. But now, my laptop won't start!! I have taken the battery out multiple times and put it back in. Unplugged and plugged my charger. I've basically done all I thought I could. PLEASE help me! I need my laptop pronto and im really worried that's its completely ruined.

OH, AND MY LAPTOP WILL TURN ON, BUT THE MONITOR WON'T. MEANING, MY WIFI IS WORKING, MY POWER IS ON, AND THE BRIGHTNESS SETTING WILL WORK, BUT NOTHING ELSE. :( PLEASE HELP

Another note, my laptop is a notebook so it doesn't have a CD drive

Hello,

Try this 1

Unplug the power cord --> Remove the battery --> Hold the power button for

60 seconds --> Connect the power supply then try to switch ON the laptop and

later put the battery back into the laptop.
