My best guess is that you have a broken hard disk. Generally Windows is customized to the hardware during the install on the PC and might not boot when used on a PC will different hardware.
I suggest you download a copy of Linux so you can try to boot from the Linux CD. That will give you proof that the Motherboard/CPU is working OK.
