If this is a CQ60 laptop the memory is probably found behind a small door in the bottom of the case. You will need a small screwdriver to remove the door.
But, I suggest you try this first:
1. remove the battery and the power cord
2. press and hold down the power button for 60 seconds
3. replace battery and power cord
4. try a normal start.
