Windows 8 has erase d all my running programs

Hello,

I've been locked out of drive where Windows is stored how do I unlock it .ok was installing Windows 8 and lost my original Windows Vista program too and I don't have any recovery disk or back ups .this Windows 8 has erase d all my running program s and lost partitions .I need my laptop back to running please help ,

Hi,

Installing Windows 8 or 8.1 over Vista will erase everything and it cannot be recovered. It's the very as if someone wanted to install Windows 7 over XP.

Microsoft issued a warning to that effect.
