My laptop automatic shut off when i left open

what can i do and how to fix it,when i'm using my laptop it is ok, but when i left it but still open,quickly shut off and if i press on the switch back to normal again...

Ok, hang in there. If you go to your power settings, you can tell your laptop to go to sleep, or shut off when idle. If you do not wish for your computer to do something it isn't then set it up. Start with the control panel-

Have you tried configuring the power options in control panel?

What a wonderful suggestion. Too bad it came over 12 hours later. Please do not repeat my answers. I do not mind if you have a DIFFERENT SUGGESTION, but do not echo my suggestions, please!!!!

it's possible that it is over heating. make sure you have enough air flow getting to the fans i.e. ( dont hold on lap, dont cover fan intakes )
Or clean it out.
