Ok, hang in there. If you go to your power settings, you can tell your laptop to go to sleep, or shut off when idle. If you do not wish for your computer to do something it isn't then set it up. Start with the control panel-

Have you tried configuring the power options in control panel?

it's possible that it is over heating. make sure you have enough air flow getting to the fans i.e. ( dont hold on lap, dont cover fan intakes )
