When it comes to CRT, if you DO NOT KNOW what you are doing STAY OUT OF IT! THERE ARE CAPACITORS AND SUCH THAT MAY STILL BE HOLDING A CHARGE, AND YOU WILL TOUCH ONE OF THEM AND BOOM, YOU ARE ENERGIZED (DEAD!)
KEEP OUT OF CRT type electronics, or any electronics if you are not familiar with it.
BESIDES, CRT is way old, and for the cost of the materials to fix it, after you have troubleshot it, is more than a new LCD monitor.
