My passport 2tb external harddisk problem

I have one external hard disk of mypassport which it is 2tb and when i insert it in my pc its shows that a device has been inserted but it is not showing it as a folder and even i have checked in disk management also its not showing please help i need the files which is there in it.....

Hi there,

Can you check in Device Management and in BIOS? Is the drive spinning when connected? Is the light on? Check your device on another PC and with another USB cable. If you manage to access it on another PC, backup files and format the drive.
