Toshiba windows 8 laptop not able to click.

My laptop can type and move around well. However, I can't use the left or right buttons near the trackpad itself. I have also tried using the trackpad to clicking, but it won't. I tried researching this problem, but I could not find anything of use. So please, help me. It is a Toshiba satellite.

Is this a new laptop or did you just update to Windows 8?

Have you tried using a USB Mouse?
