Hello, my Toshiba Satellite C55t-A5222 is not booting. A black screen keeps coming on when it's powered on that says checking media. Then a screen that says No bootable device -- Please restart system. How do I fix that?

Your hard disk has probably failed.

You will need to replace the drive and re-install Windows.

Good Luck

Thanks I appreciate the response. Is replacing the hard drive difficult to do?

Not normally. Check the underside of the laptop there might be a few doors. Each secured by a small screw. The drive is probably behind one of these doors. A local PC repair shop can sell you a drive and for small additional charge install it for you.
