Hey SK. What method did you use to try to format the drive?
I'd recommend that you try the drive with another computer to see if it's not recognized as well. If it still doesn't show up you could try formatting it via Disk Management or CMD. Also take a look at this article here: https://www.online-tech-tips.com/computer-tips/format-usb-ntfs/ it might prove useful.
Some flash drive manufacturers offer formatter tools, so you could try this as well.
