My toshiba turns on only to the point where it starts up ??

Hello,
my laptop is a toshiba and it turns on but i cant hear the fans or anything when it does and when it turns on it only get to the toshiba screen and doesnt get beyond that what should i do anyone please help i try turning it off take the power cord and the battery off and holding it for 60 seconds but it didnt help ??

Hello,
But you told that even the fans are not running.. but how come it dispalys screen...?
Please elaborate something to help you..
