what does the F9 function do for you, this will help me understand what you need.
some notebooks have a smart key double-function you need to enter BIOS settings and disable the smart-key-function to use the F keys the regular way.

I was told to use F9 so I can restore the netbook back to factory settings.
Nothing happens when I try it.
I'm not too sure what a BIOS is, I'm not very computer savvy, but I can follow instructions :)
