Hello,
I have an ASUS laptop, but it broke. Half of it is not working. What I want is to make my exteral monitor the primary monitor/display at every startup and bios setting. At start up the splash screen of Windows 8 is at the laptop's display. When I'm logging in, it transfers to my external display. But when I want to access my bios it is at the laptop's screen. I will include pics.

Sorry but the BIOS will always display to the the DEFAULT laptop screen. Also you may have problems with certain Windows updates that will default to the laptop screen upon rebooting. The external monitor switching is a function of the OS (Windows) and not the BIOS.

Good luck
