WD 1tb my book elite not detected on th laptop

i have a 1tb WD hard drive, i tried a lot through previously answered question, but cannot get a solution for my problem, kindly help me, it really urgent !
i tried these 2 already

But this wont solve my problem!! please help

Can you try the drive on a different computer? This would rule out a software problem with your computer.

If it doesn't work on any computer then I suspect a hardware issue.
Perhaps the drive has a mechanical failure or the USB controller electronics has failed.

It's also possible that the connecting USB cable has failed.

Hi Marishapandya,

Could you give us some more details about the issue? Is the drive visible in Device Manager and Disk Management and how does it appear? Does it have a drive letter? Do you have valuable data stored on the drive? I strongly recommend you to follow the advice of xpcman and try the device on another PC and with another USB cable. If the issue persists and the drive has some warranty left, I advise you to contact the reseller.
