Facebook voice messenger has stopped working

Hello,
So my voice messenger has randomly stopped working I haven't done anything different. I tried restarting the app, restarting the phone even reinstalling the app and it still won't work. I can't play voice messages nor send them the screen rotates briefly and then it was if nothing happened. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks

I would check the privacy settings on your phone to make sure you've set the app to be able to use your microphone.
