My headphone Jack is NOT working. What can I do?

Hello,
i have a samsung laptop, and for the past week I have not been able to use my headphones because my headphone jack isn't working. I have tried 2 different types of headphones and they still don't work. I think the problem is that: I put the headphones in, and It goes in faster than the second jack which is for the charging. Can someone help on this?

Did you try your head phones with other computers?
If so then what you see in device manager after inserting your head phones or did your computer recognize it as headphone during insertion of your headphone?
