Hi Rocasan,
Usually the clicking you hear is a failed Hard Drive. This is confirmed with the fact that you say i he machine works with a different Hard Drive.
You could try connecting the suspect drive into another machine (as a secondary drive) and retrieve data if possible, but I suspect the drive will cause the other machine to not boot, or if it does boot then I suspect that the drive will not be accessable.
Sorry to bring the bad news, but I fear all data on that drive is lost.
