Restoring back to Windows 8

Hello,
I updated to windows 10 and it wouldn't let me access the Internet so I went back to windows 8 and it said it went back to it original processor of 8.1 and it let me log in and then it said log in successful. Then my laptop brought up a black screen where I can move my cursor but I can't do anything.

Do you have the Win 8 or 8.1 install Disk. You might need to do a "Repair" from the install disk to restore operation.

We are seeing a fair number of problems with laptop upgrades to Win 10.

I don't have a disk or a disk drive on my laptop

You are in deep trouble then. Perhaps your only option is a PC repair shop.
There is not a large base of Win 10/Win 8 upgrade problem reports at this point.
