Will a USB Keyboard work in Safe Mode?

Hi

Can a USB Keyboard work in Safe Mode? Some of my laptop keys have stopped working - such as the Enter key, space bar and arrow keys, or have switched characters. For example pressing b gives bv, m gives nm etc. I think I enabled some fn by accident, I want to try a repair in Safe Mode.

I know it sounds like a Num lock or scroll lock or language setting issue - but its not as far as I can see. So I will try a USB Keyboard. Will a USB Keyboard override the laptop keyboard? Or will I have the same issue? Thanks!

If detected, your USB board should work.

Looks to me that your original keyboard has a circuit issue.
