No usb detect in windows7

Hello,
Am unable to connect USB in port my windows 7 laptop even USB keypad is not detected .what should I do

Try another USB port? Is your port a USB 1, 2 or 3 specification? What type of device is it, 1, 2, or 3?

Still problem continued. Tried both the USB ports,even no sound of USB attached. Checked device manager but no external device plugged is shown
