Toshiba Laptop got switched off suddenly

Hello,
Yesterday while i was transferring data from my external hard disk to my Toshiba laptop,suddenly my laptop got switched off.After that its not turning on.It was fully charged and was working fine until then.Now when i connect it to charger also,the lights dont turn on,there is absolutely no response from my laptop now.I tried removing battery and and connecting to charger and then turning on,but nothing works..I am shocked by this sudden system failure..please help
