I want to fix my iPod 4th gen

Hi guys
I'm just wondering whether there's any solution to my broken iPod.
The thing is, I accidentally slammed a car door on it and it cracked (it didn't cave in) and there was a grey spot on the top right hand corner and the rest of the screen was white.
But I tried to connect it to the computer and all my photos and music were still there and my comp recognised the iPod.
But I gave up on it and left it for like 2 years and now I'm trying to charge it but it won't turn on but it made the charging sound.
I hope you guys can give me some suggestions

how long did you charge it? It might take a few hours to bring back a dead battery.

I let it charge for the night (so roughly 8hrs) and it turned on.
But the screen is white with a grey spot like before.
Siri works, music works, just the screen doesn't change from white.
