Acer Aspire 5250-0450 Laptop shuts down

Hello,
It just started tonight on 1/10/16. The battery is fully charged;however, when I remove the battery charger from the laptop then it shuts down completely. When I hit the power button on the laptop, it doesn't do anything. As soon as I plug the ac adapter back in then hit the power button the laptop powers on.

hi,
Sorry my friend but if the battery show up charging when you plug the power supply and off if you remove it so thats mean your battery is dead...
just try to remove the battery look where is the pin and blow little bit clean and put it back. if still I guess you will need to bay a new battery...
