Hello askjallow,
There are some data recovery programs available over the network. Some of them are paid and others are free. Also, you can use a Linux Live CD/USB to gain access to your card. Once you download the .iso file and follow the instructions, you have to change the boot priority in the BIOS menu of your PC where you put the SD. You should be able to see your files. If that doesn't help, check the administrator permitions on the PC where you log in.
