Hello,
Brand new computer, but headphone jack on my toshiba satellite doesn't work. When I plug my headphones in the computer speakers still play. It is not the headphones (they work on other devices), and when I go to control panel > hardware and sound > sound it doesn't show the headphone jack. It only shows the Intel(R) Display Audio and Realtek High Definition output. Both are indicated as working. How do I get my headphone jack to work?

Sometimes laptop jack create problems. Have you tried other headphones on your laptop?

I somehow don't recall exactly what I did, but read all the other solutions, followed some instructions and voila!, I was back in business. It was not the headphones, tho.
