Acer laptop wont come on

Hiya my Acer laptop will not come on I thought the battery might have been old but I just bought a new one and plugged my laptop in to charge and the red light won't even come on to show me that its charging and it won't come on please help me

Try this

1. Remove the battery and cable.

2. Press and hold the power button for 58 seconds.

3. Replug and start.
