Monitor signal problems

Hello,I am having a problem with monitor input signal I can not get HDMI active signal and most of the time VGA signal is inactive (99)%. Monitor works on my laptop so I know it to be good.Monitor is a Hp Pavilion w2207h and computer is Hp Pavilion model #a6437c Product # KJ400AA-ABA. Thank you in advance for your help

From what you said, i thought your graphic card must be a culprit, is it brand new external one? or on-board one? if so try out with another graphic card to make sure where the problem lies.
