Hi! My hardrive has been working great until I upgraded to Windows 10, now when I plug it in it makes the connection sound, and shows that it's connected in hidden icons, but it won't show up in my file explorer so I can't actually see anything on it or where it is even to open it.
I've tried going to the Universal Serial Bus controllers and uninstalling, then scanning for hardware changes - didn't work.
I've tried going to disk drives, my passport and scanning for a software update, but it said that it was up to date.
Please help, I don't know what else to try.
Thanks.

Hey there, Sara.
Sorry to hear about the problems you're experiencing with your HDD. :(
Do you need to recover data from that drive?
First, I'd recommend that you try the HDD with a different USB cable and a different computer, to see if the same thing happens. You should also post a screenshot of what you see about the drive in Disk Management. Here's how to open it: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=sIbheA
If you don't need to recover data from it, I'd also suggest that you download DLG (Data Lifeguard) and run both Quick and Extended tests, to see what's the situation with the drive. Here's how to do that: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=CcrU8D
Hope that helps. Please let me know how everything goes.
