One folder with photos in external hard drive not opening

Hello,
A folder containing many photos is not opening in my external hard disk. If I click on it it says hard disk not formatted ..... It has many photos and folders containing many photos ... many other folders are opening. Only this particular folder doesn't open
Pleeeeease help

Right click on the folder in question and > properties. What does it say?
