How to initialized 4TB external hard drive

Hello,

Can anyone please show me how to initialized a 4TB entrenal HDD. There is a connection but the hdd is not shown. Going into disk management show that there disk 1 but prompt to initialize. When initialized or click ok to (MBR master but record)
There is a pop up in the virtual disk manager saying Data error (cyclic redundancy check)

Could anyone please help me solve this issue

My apology for not been polite when I ask this question when coming into this forum for the first time. You advice would be of great help.

Hi there,

A Cyclic Redundancy Check popup means there is an issue with the hard drive.

If you are unable to format the drive or give it a letter then you're not going to be able to use it.

Thanks, I can not format it so its end of the HDD. Thanks for your help and advice.
