Hello,

Some time ago my computer just died. After some testing I figured out the problem was the motherboard. I bought a new one online, plug on everything and when I started it, it beeped twice non-stop (short beeps). The fans are running but there is no image.

I figured the problem could be the RAM sticks, so I got two out of a working computer and switched them. The working computer kept working with my PCs RAM, but my PC didn't. So I ruled out memory failure.

I tried the same thing with the power supply, same thing.

I do not have a graphic card, so that's not the problem either.

I also tried reseting the cmos and replacing the motherboard battery, no luck.

Finally I decided to take out the processor, the beeping stopped. There was still no image so I don't really know what the problem can be.

Make certain the RAM from the other machine is the same specifications as the new MB you just bought. Does you new MB support the CPU that you have put into it? Did you use thermal paste on the CPU? Did you utilize a grounding strap while putting all of this SENSITIVE ELECTRONIC DEVICES together?
