Hi Debbie If you have not created a recovery disk, you may need to reset your Toshiba to factory settings, unfortunately, all of your data will be lost.

Try this

1. Remove the battery and cable.

2. Press and hold the power button for 58 seconds.

3. Replug and start.

Did what you said. Has opened onto Toshiba screen, but has remained on this screen with dots moving in a circle.

It goes to repairing and diagnosing computer but it won't let me do anything when I choose a troubleshooting option. It all comes back as a fault.
