Cannot access my Gmail

I attempted to find password on my gmail account there was set up in 2015 (***@***) after a few attempts I could reset password. However, I now realise that my wife's gmail password gas been changed I still cannot access mine.
(***@***) Our most commonly used email is ***@***

Thank you for your advice. Seeing I hadn't accessed the original gmail account for a very long time, I created a new one. All appears to be working
