How to move VirtualBox VM: to another computer, drive

To transfer virtual machines to another host computer or drive you simply have to use the import/export feature of VirtualBox. We will take you through the procedure in the article below.

How to move VirtualBox?

• Open VirtualBox.

• Click on the File menu > Export Appliance.

• Select the virtual machines you want to add to the appliance:

• Click on Next.
• Select where you want to save the .ova file: 

• Click on Next > Export.

From there, you can transfer this appliance to another computer or drive and import the latter (File > Import appliance).
