How to add the number with alphanumeric

Hello,
Am facing issue while adding numbers to alphanumeric.Can any pl help me.

For example i have AB1, AB2, AB3 in one column and i want to add AB4 as in the next column by some kind of simple formula.Can any help me on this.

="AB" & (MID({Cell containing data},2,1)+1)
