When I boot up my desktop, my desktop dosn't show, it's just a black screen. When I hit ctrl--alt--del, bring up the task manager, i type in explorer.exe, and everything comes back. But my antivirus doesn't work, I can't download anything, itunes isn't working, etc. But I can connect to the internet. So I looked around these forums and found a solution that might work from a user named anhtrung here's the link to the thread:

Now when I try to right click and copy explorer to rename it, the whole system just becomes unresponsive and freezes. So will this method work for Vista or what. I'm getting frustrated and need to get my computer back. Can anyone help please. Thanx

Dear Sir,

Please consider checking your graphic card and whether the firewall needs to be disabled in order to get downloading correctly. Also get through the below link for the iTunes issue.
