External Hard Drive problem

Hello,

I was transferring some files from my laptop to my external hard drive, but the process thing says it would take 23 hours, so I cancelled, and I may or may not have plugged out my external hard drive before they finished cancelling it.

After that, whenever I try to open that folder in my external hard drive, the whole thing slows down. I wanted to delete that folder, but the whole thing was too slow and when it was "preparing to remove / move" the screen would disappear and nothing is done.

But now, my whole explorer freezes if I plug my external hard drive in and I go to my computer, and when I plug it out, the explorer would unfreeze almost immediately!

Any idea how to solve this problem? Thank you.

Dear Sir,

Please confirm whether the external files are not too bulky and also it might be that the external hard drive contains corrupted files. In order to settle with this particular matter, you will then have to get it formatted.

Thanks in advance.
