Check signal cable connectin laptop to TVSolved/Closed

Hello, 


My laptop is a HP, running windows 7. I cannot get a signal on my samsung TV. 

I tried most options I found on other forums, e.g. fn + f1-12, changing display settings, etc.

Thanks for any help!

Got it..

I don't know what finally did it because I had seen and played around with settings on  the screen jack4rall refers to. 

Anyway, followed the instructions more closely this time, detached all other external devices (audio hub,modem etc) and I did a restart.
